Marketing & Creativity Assistant Student Director
I joined the Student Commencement Committee, the student-led team that plans the senior-class events leading up to Commencement at NYU Shanghai, as Assistant Director of Marketing & Creativity. I wanted to give back to my community: to use my marketing background to help our graduating class create its best memories together, and to capture them on Instagram.
Working in the Marketing & Creativity Committee alongside talented, like-minded teammates, here's what we built.
We developed this year's commencement brand kit, which includes the theme, color palette, fonts, logos and graphic elements.
With the branding in place, we introduced the team. I helped design every team member's intro post in a doll-packaging aesthetic, with items that represent each of us. Here's mine, alongside two team reels that went viral across campus, thanks to our Dean and a healthy dose of Gen Z humor.

Next, we explained what SCC is and what we do by designing brochures that we handed out to seniors on campus, with a calendar of the events we planned for them.

We designed promotional materials for senior events, from posters to photo props, from the first event of our final semester all the way to Commencement day, and captured each one on camera to remember the moment.

Finally, we designed keepsakes for seniors: iron-on patches that came with a custom-designed denim bag, plus other gifts to remind them of our class long after graduation.
